Our Story

IAWCO (PT Perusahaan Air Indonesia Amerika) is an Indonesian subsidiary of EBD Bauer — a global leader in water, wastewater, and renewable energy solutions. With over 50 years of collective experience, EBD Bauer serves clients across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas.

Our Technology

We use Membrane Technology — Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) — to transform seawater into premium-quality drinking water. High-pressure vessels desalinate ocean water from beach wells, delivered via underground piping to Mandalika.

Mandalika Special Economic Zone

The Mandalika SEZ is a government-backed 1,175-hectare tourism and investment hub on Lombok's southern coast. Designed as a "New Bali," it features 16 kilometers of pristine white sand coastline, the world-class Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit hosting MotoGP, and luxury resorts. Mandated with ecotourism principles — over 50% reserved for green spaces, utilizing solar energy and desalination for sustainable infrastructure.

IAWCO is contracted by PT Indonesian Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) to provide clean water for the entire Mandalika tourism area within the Mandalika Special Economic Zone in Kuta, Lombok.

Our Technology

Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO)

We use Seawater Reverse Osmosis — a sophisticated process that desalinates seawater via high-pressure vessels. The seawater supply is pumped from beach wells at our desalination sites and delivered to Mandalika locations via underground piping.

Project Overview

IAWCO holds a Water Supply Concession over the 1,175 hectare Mandalika Special Economic Zone on the south coast of Lombok Island. The 50-year concession includes construction of two State-of-the-Art Desalination Plants (IC1 & IC2) producing 21,000 m³/day — exceeding WHO standards. Located just 30 minutes from Lombok International Airport with 16 kilometers of pristine coastline, the zone hosts the world-class Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit and major international resorts.
